老龟妖明显感觉到了悠悠的紧张，安慰道，“竹叶门是唯一一道通往灵妖练习场的大门。小灵妖们就在下面练功。”他说着往下点了点头。
悠悠顺着他的目光往下望去，果然见到好多小动物，有老虎，熊猫，大象，长颈鹿，兔子，熊……他们有的在对打练武，有的在认真看书写字，有的水边玩耍。
随着竹叶的越飘越低，小灵妖们见到老龟妖来了，都紧张了起来，就连刚才在玩耍的小灵妖们都一本正经地回到原位，装模作样地练起功来。
其实不仅小灵妖们紧张，悠悠也很紧张，他长这么大也没同时见过这么多浑身长毛，尖爪利齿的动物，吓得他浑身发抖。他咬着牙硬挺着，不停告诉自己，那些不是普通动物，那些是灵妖，是可以救他家人、朋友的伙伴。
竹叶飘到离地一米高的时候，慢慢停了下来。显然，小灵妖们对老龟妖的这种出场方式很熟悉了，他们迅速排好了队，一边用好奇的眼神打量着悠悠，一边低声讨论着什么。
老龟妖清咳一声，示意小灵妖们安静，然后他慢慢说道，“你们应该已经听说了，创世之神带走了人界的人类，这个人类小孩儿希望可以借助妖界的力量找到创世之神，保住人界。谁愿意跟他一起去‘彩云之巅’呀？”
老龟妖话音未落，就看到小灵妖们窃窃私语。有的摇头，有的往后退，有的干脆躲在朋友的身后……过了好长时间，竟然没有一只灵妖愿意去。
老龟妖看了眼失望的悠悠，又清咳了一声，说道，“虽然天空之路路险且长，但是外面的世界会很精彩，途中会遇到很多有意思的事，吃到很多好吃的东西，见到很多特别的景色……不仅如此，凡是能够到达‘彩云之巅’的妖类，法术都可以成倍地增强，所以这对你们来说，是一次极好的修行机会。愿意跟他一起去‘彩云之巅’的灵妖们可以站出来。”
一听说可以遇见很多有意思的事，吃到各种好吃的东西，法力还可以成倍增强，小灵妖们的眼睛都亮了。他们相互看了一眼，不一会儿，有几只小灵妖们挺了挺胸，站了出来，声称要帮助悠悠去“彩云之巅”。有了带头作用，剩下的小灵妖们也有了勇气，一个个地都站了出来。
老龟妖看了眼底下踊跃的小灵妖们，对悠悠慢慢说道，“竹叶门载不动这么多灵妖，你选三个小灵妖吧。”
一开始没有灵妖愿意去，悠悠很难过。现在这么多灵妖都想去，悠悠又很犯难。
选谁好呢？
他目光扫过信心满满的小灵妖们，一个个绒毛利爪，看得他浑身不舒服。忽然，他的目光落在了右边一个不起眼的角落，那里有一只小乌龟正在看着他！
小龟妖！
悠悠马上想到老龟妖变化莫测的法力和风驰电掣的速度，心里暗喜。他觉得小龟妖的法力就算没有老龟妖强，但一定也是十分厉害的。于是他毫不犹豫地定下了他的第一个同伴----那只站在角落的小龟妖。
至于第二个同伴，悠悠选择了一只没有长毛利爪的小长颈鹿妖。这是他能接受的极限了。而且他觉得长颈鹿长得这么高，一定可以看得很远。如果他们迷了路，长颈鹿妖一定可以利用身高的优势，帮助他们找到前面的路。
